In 1972 at a "Full Gospel Businessmen's Association" meeting, my wife, Barbara and I accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We have been serving the Lord ever since. In the early years, we had a children's ministry. I was "Smilin' Happy the Christian Clown" and Barbara was the "Puppet Lady." I served the Seacoast Mission in Bar Harbor, Maine, ministering in churches as a fill-in pastor along the coast of Downeast Maine.
I attended Good Shepherd Bible School, Brean College, and Husson College and attended seminary courses over many years to complete my education.
I have had the pleasure and honor to serve churches on Mt Desert Island in the 1970's. In the 1970's through the 1980's Barbara and I focused on child evangelism. The 1990's through 2002 found us serving the Second Baptist Church in Calais, Maine and United Baptist in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. We have been serving here at the Baptist Church of Greene, Maine since February of 2003. My wife and I are so blessed to be pastoring here -- we truly see God at work in this place!
Our hearts are open to all in our community. We would love you to come and see what God is doing here, for this is truly a "A Place to Belong, a Church to Call Home!"
Pastor Chet and Barbara married in 1966 and have three grown children, three grandchildren, and a dog named "CD".
